Dredging Work on Pulo Nangka Connecting Channel is Completed

East Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency has completed dredging work on Pulo Nangka Connecting (Phb) Channel, Kayu Putih, Pulogadung, East Jakarta. According to plan, this dredging work will continue to Pulomas Utara and Pulomas Barat Phb Channels.

This work takes about one month to complete using two heavy equipment

East Jakarta SDA Sub-agency's Maintenance Section Head, Puryanto conveyed, dredging work on Pulo Nangka Phb Channel was carried out throughout October. During the work, he deployed 2 long arm excavators to increase channel's capacity.

"This work takes about one month to complete using two heavy equipment. We dredge it about 50-100 centimeters," he explained, Monday (11/1).

According to him, mud from dredging Pulo Nangka Phb Channel was transported using seven dump trucks with capacity 22 cubic meters and dumped into Rare Plantation area owned by East Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency in Pulogebang, Cakung.

"Pulo Nangka Phb Channel disembogues into Ria Rio Reservoir which is currently being dredged," he said.

He mentioned that his side will continue the dredging in Pulomas Barat and Pulomas Utara Phb Channels with coordination with PT. Pulomas Jaya because those channels are located in PT. Pulomas Jaya's area.
